First, a quick reminder of the location of Caravelle beach in Guadeloupe. It is located in the commune of Sainte-Anne in the south of Grande-Terre.
It's a very touristy area in Guadeloupe, in the Communauté d'Agglomération Riviera du Levant.

I think the title says it all 😊 . If you live in Guadeloupe, many of you probably feel the same way.
Let me remind you again: this beach in Guadeloupe est accessible à tous sans exception. Elle n’appartient pas au Club Med bien que l’on peut avoir cette impression au premier abord.
You'll also come across security guards, whereas everyone has the right to come where they like on the sand of this beach and swim where they like.
However, do not use the equipment made available to Club Med guests. These installations along the coast are a nuisance in my opinion, not to mention the loud music.
Je ne suis pas fan du tout de ce format qui donne l’impression de mettre à l’écart les locaux d’une zone publique, ouverte à tous et peu importe la destination où je voyage. Je ne me sens pas du tout à l’aise dans cette atmosphère alors qu’il s’agit de l’endroit où je vis.

Une plage qui perd son authenticité en haute saison
C’est une plage très convoitée en haute saison compte tenu de la promotion qui est en faite. Sans toute l’animation que je vous cite dans le premier point, this beach is magnificent and comes back into its own in the off-season.
I've already been there several mornings during the Covid-19 pandemic, and it wasn't very crowded. I can assure you that it's completely different, and much more beautiful.
In any case, without all the hustle and bustle, La Caravelle beach doesn't taste at all the same and makes you want to spend some time there.

It's a point that ultimately echoes the one I made above.
Cette plage est souvent pleine de monde mais vraiment beaucoup, en période normale et de haute saison. Je ne suis pas certaine que cela aide à protéger son environnement notamment avec toutes les personnes s’y baignant avec sunscreen that does not respect the ocean.
If you're looking for a beach where you can relax (almost) away from the hustle and bustle of tourism, like some of the beaches we recommend in our Take me to Guadeloupe guide or even for a quiet picnic, you can cross it off your list unless the context leads to a drop in visitor numbers.

This point comes up a lot if you read reviews about La Caravelle beach. If you're not a Club Med customer, you're going to have to be patient to find a spot in the area, especially if it's crowded. Of course, take care to park your vehicle correctly to avoid unpleasant surprises on the bodywork or a fine.

Les activités que je vous conseille à la plage de la caravelle
Une activité souvent oubliée des touristes en Guadeloupe, et je trouve cela tellement dommage avec le cadre qui s’y prête : cette séance photo à Sainte-Anne.
Elle se déroule à la plage de la Caravelle avec la photographe Léna.
Et comme après chaque séance photo, les fichiers sont envoyés par mail.
📸 Mon conseil pour le créneau horaire : je vous conseille le premier créneau du matin à 8h surtout en période de forte chaleur. C’est plus agréable, et puis il y aura moins de monde.

To share beautiful photographs of Guadeloupe, really don't force yourself to program this beach. I've already stumbled across blogs saying it's a must-see beach in Guadeloupe, absolutely not.
The Souffleur beach in Port-LouisIt's a must-see beach, with a more local feel. Not so for Caravelle beach.
There are plenty of other heavenly beaches where you can take some great photos, some of them wilder, but so much more authentic, with stretches of sand where you can mingle with the locals in a friendly atmosphere.
Take the time to discover other coastal environments that will amaze you and make your stay in our sublime archipelago magical!

Personally, I love this beach because the sea is rather calm, so it's perfect for children, and I find it really beautiful (when it's not too crowded, as you say). But it's true that finding a place to park can be a pain, so you often end up at the village beach in plan B (which is also good) and there are far too many people, especially tourists, which takes away from the beach's charm. Well, that's just my opinion

I agree with you on all points 🙂 There is the Bois Jolan beach which is also very good, a family beach par excellence and superb for sunsets!
I always manage to find a place in it with space. I've never tried Easter weekend to see the difference ahah 🙂
I'll join you at 1000%. I shun these crowded places. I know we'll go there because it's a must-see (your photos are incredible!), but I won't enjoy it for a whole day, that's for sure...
