Vivant en Guadeloupe, j’ai l’opportunité de m’y rendre parfois. Vous êtes donc au bon endroit pour noter mes conseils pour aller à Marie-Galante. 😄 Ci-dessous, je vous explique ⬇️ quels sont les ports de départ, les horaires et le nombre de rotations assurées chaque jour.
J’ai aussi plus récemment ajouté un point concernant le parking à Pointe-à-Pitre.
Called the Grande Galette, Marie-Galante, a small corner of the world anchored in the ocean, is a wonderful island that seems far from everything. It has a rich history and heritage (centuries old) that makes it well worth spending more than a day here.
Marie-Galante is also an essential step in understanding the history of the sugar industry in Guadeloupe. It plays an important role in the economic history of the Guadeloupe.

Le parking de la gare maritime de Bergevin
I find the parking lot at the Bergevin ferry terminal in Pointe-à-Pitre more spacious. It's true that there can be traffic jams to get there, especially in the morning. Remember to leave early.
As far as safety is concerned, so far we haven't had any bad experiences leaving our vehicle for several days.

Quelles sont les rotations pour Marie-Galante ?
From Pointe-à-Pitre to Grand Bourg in Marie-Galante, rotations are daily, between one and four times a day, depending on the day of the week and the direction of travel:
One way: 8.15am, 1.15pm, 5.15pm (times may vary depending on the health crisis)
For the return journey: 6h, 12h, 16h, 18h (times may vary depending on the health crisis)
As you can see, with the first departure from Pointe-à-Pitre, the earliest you'll arrive in Marie-Galante is 9.15am, and if you're staying just one day, the latest you'll get back to Pointe-à-Pitre is 6pm. Frankly, the island of Marie-Galante deserves to be discovered for longer.
Discovering Marie-Galante also means taking the time to observe the scenes of life and explore the island at different times of the day: the sunsets are a MUST!

The crossing doesn't take very long, just 1 hour.
