For car rental in Marie-Galante, we had the opportunity to test the services of Bleu Location agency. Founded by Pascal and Marie-Pierre, it is located opposite the Marie-Galante ferry terminal on Place Félix Eboué. Just off the boat, it's a short walk to the restaurant.
It's possible to rent a car, scooter or quad bike. Having rented vehicles in Guadeloupe and other destinations around the world for road trips (Iceland, USA, Canada, etc.), I find Bleu Location's varied, recent and new fleet of vehicles interesting. For the record: before this new trip to Marie-Galante, we rented a vehicle from La Désirade for €30 a day. The choice for car rental companies is quite limited on this island. We had a Dacia vehicle with the radio not working, the air-conditioning not working and the USB charger not working. Great, isn't it? Oh yes, and the wheels were in a sorry state? And when we returned the car, it was a good thing we'd taken photos, because the rental company would have charged us extra. It's for this reason that I invite you to rent your vehicle, whether in Marie-Galante or another destination, from a serious, rigorous and welcoming car rental company like Bleu Location. Sometimes we try to save money, and in the end, it's not the case.
Besides, I don't understand the negative reviews on Google for Bleu Location. We even have friends from Marie-Galantais, one of whom is particularly demanding, who also recommended Bleu Location to us for its seriousness.

We rented an electric vehicle in Marie-Galante
With Bleu Location, we chose an electric vehicle. It requires some organization for recharging, but it's obviously better for the environment. Its carbon footprint is better than that of a conventional car. A good way to reduce your carbon footprint if you care about responsible travel.
The silent engine is also extremely pleasant. You can feel the difference. And when all's said and done, you'll save money by recharging electrically instead of going to a gas station for fuel.
