It's almost the end of July, and with it the arrival of August in Guadeloupe. Of course, this reminds me that back-to-school isn't far off. Time flies 😄.

1. Discover nature and culture with the Guadeloupe National Park
📅 July 6 to August 10, 2024
Guadeloupe National Park offers free activities open to all until mid-August: hikes, bee discovery workshop, plant discovery workshop, etc.
We sometimes take part as a family, and it's a great opportunity to learn new things about our beautiful heritage;
A dozen events are planned throughout August 2024.

2. Club 2024 to experience the Olympic Games 2024
📅 July 26 to August 11, 2024
Canon! The town of Sainte-Anne installs a zone awarded the Club 2024 label by Paris 2024 to experience the Olympic Games. On site, live competitions will be broadcast on the big screen from 9am. Entertainment and activities will also be on offer during this period.

3. Tour cycliste international de Guadeloupe
📅 August 23 to September 1, 2024
The Tour Cycliste de Guadeloupe later this year - probably because of the Olympics - starts on August 23 and finishes on September 1, 2024, with 9 stages for this still highly anticipated 73rd edition. An important event for Guadeloupeans, as cycling has a special place in our archipelago. 😊
The Tour prologue is scheduled for Basse-Terre, followed by Stage 1 from Le Gosier.

📅 Saturday, August 10, 2024 from 10 a.m.
The traditional Fête des Cuisinières will take place on Saturday, August 10, 2024. For the 108th edition, I recommend you see the parade through the streets of Pointe-à-Pitre.
I quote this lovely text from the city of Pointe-à-Pitre: The Cuisinières de Guadeloupe, dressed in their finest traditional dresses, headdresses and madras, adorned with their finest jewelry and wearing an apron embroidered with their emblem, parade through the streets of Pointe-à-Pitre.

7. La Creole Jazz Festival
📅 July 22 to August 18, 2024
A not-to-be-missed festival for music fans, or simply if you're looking for a good time. On this year's program, once again renowned artists: Jocelyne Béroard, Tony Chasseur, Tanya St-Val, Ralph Tamar, etc. It's happening at Créole Beach Hotel & Spa throughout August.
